Faculty Position in Marketing
 

The University of Washington Business School invites applicants for a tenure-track position in Marketing to begin September 2008.  This appointment will be a full-time position (100% FTE) at one of three possible ranks: 1) entry-level Assistant Professor (recent or expected near completion of a PhD required), 2) advanced Assistant Professor (previous completion of Ph.D. degree and at least three years in a University tenure-track position) or 3) Associate Professor.

Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Candidates for the entry-level Assistant Professor position need to show evidence of high-level proficiency in teaching.   Candidates at the advanced Assistant Professor and Associate Professor rank need to have a demonstrated publication record in top-tier Marketing journals and evaluations evidencing high-level proficiency in teaching. 

Of particular interest are applicants whose research and teaching interests are in one or more of the following areas:  Marketing strategy, business-to-business marketing, entrepreneurial marketing, marketing of high-technology products and services, international marketing, new-product development, pricing, channels, sales.  The specific interest area within Marketing is of secondary importance to a strong interest in scholarly research activity and a capability for quality teaching.
