Assistant Professor of Marketing – University of Nevada, Las Vegas

The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Marketing position starting August 2008 (subject to final funding approval). The Department of Marketing at UNLV is rapidly moving forward with a strong focus on research productivity in high level journals. UNLV is within walking distance of one of the world’s best known service environments located within a phenomenal high economic growth area. The ideal candidate should have a very strong research program targeted at high level journals. Areas of teaching and research such as experiential/entertainment marketing, consumer behavior, internet marketing, advertising, IMC, marketing ethics, direct marketing, sales/sales management, business to business or strategic marketing management are desirable. The position involves teaching at the undergraduate and MBA levels, conducting research targeted at top quality refereed journals and performing service duties. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. with a major in an appropriate area of specialization from an AACSB accredited institution. Outstanding ABDs very near to completion will be potentially considered.
