POSITION OPEN – Georgetown University

The Marketing and International Business group at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business invites applications for positions in marketing starting in the fall of 2008.

We are looking to add one or two faculty members of open rank (junior and/or advanced) and research area (CB, modeling, or managerial). Candidates should have a keen interest in both research and teaching. Our current teaching needs are in several areas including the MBA core marketing course, consumer behavior, and marketing research. We are also eager to expand our offerings in other areas.

The ideal candidates must possess demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching and research. This includes first-rate classroom teaching to undergraduates, MBAs, and/or executives, top journal publications, and the ability to work with colleagues on research projects.

Georgetown University has a tradition of balance between strong teaching and strong research. In addition, given the emphasis in McDonough’s curriculum, exposure to global business, public policy and ethical questions in business would be deemed pluses for applicants. The McDonough School offers competitive salaries and research support for incoming faculty. Georgetown University is an equal opportunity institution and does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, or color. Members of minority groups are encouraged to apply.

We will have a recruiting team of marketing faculty at the Summer ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Conference in Washington, D.C., August 3-6, 2007.

Applications should be sent to Jeffrey Franke, Office of the Dean, McDonough School of Business, 210 Old North, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. 20057, e-mail: jaf75@georgetown.edu.
