JOURNAL of HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE MARKETING: SPECIAL ISSUE Published 2008 Marketing of Hospitality and Leisure Experiences
AIM
This special issue examines how destinations and organizations are creating and marketing experiences in order to entice an increasingly sophisticated visitor.
- contributions to theory such as economics, marketing, consumer behaviour
- contribution to methodology through use of phenomenology, qualitative or quantitative approaches
- examination of settings such as sports venues, tourism places, events, arts, theme parks, museums, performing arts and concert events
- examination of topics such as customer emotions in service consumption, design of service experiences, experiential marketing, hedonic experiences, expectations and satisfaction, emotional engagement in tourism (customers and staff).
CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE
All submissions will be double-blind refereed. Papers will be judged on the quality of research, relevance to the thematic issue of experience marketing, and application of the research for professionals in the industry.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please email short proposals or draft papers to the Guest Editors by 31st May 2007. We will respond soon after. Completed papers are due for review by 31st August 2007 and final papers are due by the end of November 2007.
All papers will then be blind reviewed by at least two reviewers. The special issue of the journal will be published in early 2008.
