Boise State University seeks a visionary, dynamic, and experienced leader to guide the College of Business and Economics to new levels of academic excellence.As part of Boise State’s mission as a metropolitan research institution of distinction, the Dean will serve in an important leadership role in fostering relationships with local, regional, national, and international corporations and with the higher education institutions within the state and the nation. The Dean will be expected to help articulate a vision for the college and foster a quality learning environment and culture of scholarly productivity.
Qualifications Desired:
- earned doctorate in a related field;
- evidence of excellence in university teaching, scholarship, service and administration;
- experience in collaborating effectively with internal and external constituencies;
- demonstrated record of friend and fund raising;
- experience in business and/or working with the business community;
- demonstrated ability to maximize internal and external resources;
- distinguished record of professional achievement that warrants tenure and appointment to the rank of full Professor.
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience

University: Boise State, with an enrollment exceeding 18,000 students, is a public comprehensive undergraduate and graduate institution that offers a range of nationally accredited programs. The University is the largest institution in the Idaho system of higher education, and consists of eight colleges with over 2,000 faculty and staff.
College of Business and Economics: The State Board of Education designated the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University the primary emphasis business school in Idaho. With over 100 faculty and staff, just under 3,000 students, and delivery sites throughout Southern Idaho, the College has undergraduate degree programs in Accountancy, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Finance, International Business, Management, Marketing, Operations Management, and Networking and Telecommunications. On the graduate level, the College offers Master of Science degrees in Accountancy, Accountancy with a taxation emphasis, and Management Information Systems, as well as a Masters in Business Administration and an Executive Masters in Business Administration. The College serves as an educational resource through the Executive Education Program, the Idaho Small Business Development Center, TechHelp, and the Idaho Council on Economic Education. The Boise State University College of Business and Economics is accredited by AACSB-International and the Accounting program is in the select group of programs with separate AACSB-International accreditation.
