Format Changes for ELMAR
Introduction
Tables of contents, job notices, conference updates and CFP reminders will be posted as individual line items in the Community Update emails, rather than as aggregate digests or menus

With input from the , the style of postings for conference updates and reminders, job notices and journal tables of contents will change slightly starting today. Rather than being posted as aggregate digests or menus, these items will appear as individual line items in the Community Update email.
I believe this will have the following positive effects. It will
- reduce reader effort by one click,
- put more information in the Community Updates, which will
- enhance reader control,
- provide finer grained popularity metrics,
- create the possibility of optional, direct subscriber posting,
- reduce the moderator work load, which will also
- make the moderator role more transferable.
If you wish to view more than one job notice or more than one TOC after the first one retrieved from your email,
- click on the folder symbol,
, at the top of the posting. Clicking on this takes you up to the cumulative listing for the posting category. Or you can - click on the link for "Archive" on the left hand nav bar, which will take you to the most recent postings for the day.
Of course you can also go back to the Community Update email and click on other postings directly from that.
