Remembering Dr. Shirley Taylor

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our beloved friend and colleague, Dr. Shirley Taylor, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2007. Dr. Taylor was an accomplished researcher who contributed significantly to the field of marketing, particularly the area of services marketing, and she was acclaimed as a constructive and insightful reviewer. She was also a dedicated undergraduate teacher and supervisor of numerous graduate students. In 2005 the culmination of her research accomplishments resulted in her being named a Distinguished Faculty Research Fellow in Marketing at Queen’s School of Business. Students and faculty benefited tremendously from Dr. Taylor’s friendship, mentorship and many talents during the 17 years that she was a faculty member at Queen’s School of Business. We were privileged to have had her as part of the Queen’s community and her presence in Goodes Hall will be greatly missed. The Dr. Shirley Taylor Memorial Scholarship has been created so that her contributions to the School will be remembered for many years to come.
