I would very much appreciate hearing from academic colleagues who have provided their students with "critical thinking" guidelines or formats to be used in the written assessment of conceptual "think pieces" appearing in marketing journals. I am developing an online, MBA level "Marketing, Society and Controversy’ course. One of the proposed written assignments for each Unit involves using an evaluation format to assess key conceptual articles on such topics as marketing and quality-of-life, distributive justice, globalization, marketing and development, and sustainable marketing. However, I have yet to find a format for such assessments with which I am completely happy. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated and I’ll be happy to share the responses I receive with other interested parties. I can be reached at sshapiro@sfu.ca
