Conference Theme – Hospitality and Tourism: Driving National and International Development
The Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Hospitality and Tourism Management to be held in Ocho Rios, Jamaica is pleased to invite papers for presentation at the conference October 10 – 12, 2007. The conference aims to create a forum for the sharing of trends in tourism and hospitality that are recent, relevant and global in scope that enable national and international development. Papers may be drawn from diverse fields and can be either applied or conceptual in orientation on the following topics:
- Information and Communication Technologies in Tourism/Hospitality
- Sustainable Tourism Development
- Human Resources Management, Education & Training
- Strategy/Financial Management in Hospitality
- Operations and Revenue Management
- Food Service/Culinary Tourism
- Marketing/Customer Relationship Management
- Tourism in the Caribbean Single Market (CSM)
- International Relations and Development
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
- Academicians and educators in the tourism and hospitality management fields
- Senior government officials involved in tourism planning and development
- Tourism policy makers and national tourism organization directors

TIMETABLE
Authors wishing to present papers at this conference must submit a 3-4 page abstract (in English) including name(s) of author(s), affiliation, postal and e-mail address. The abstract must cover the background, a brief literature review, the proposed method and implications of the study. Abstracts must be typed using Times Roman 12-point font double-spaced with justified alignment, and should (preferably) be submitted (as MSWord file) electronically to: beldona@udel.edu. - The timetable for the academic submissions are as follows:
Abstract submission: March 26, 2007
Feedback to authors: April 15, 2007
Full paper submission: August 1, 2007 - Authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to submit full papers by the August 1 deadline. Once the abstract is accepted, the author(s) must register by May 15th, 2007 and present the paper at the conference.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa is in Ocho Rios, approximately 70 miles from Montego Bay and about the same distance from the capital city of Kingston.
