Please join us for the 3rd Annual Family Firm Enterprise Conference (FERC). The theme for 2007 is Governance in the Family Firm, but we invite all topics relevant to the study of family businesses. In addition to paper presentations, FERC welcomes submissions for panels. Keynote addresses by renowned experts will focus on the theme of governance. Keynote speakers include Professor David Whetten, Brigham Young University and Kelin Gersick, Ph.D., Lansberg, Gersick & Associates.
All topics relevant to the study of family firms are invited, and both empirical and theoretical studies are encouraged.
Empirical studies should include clear explanations of theoretical underpinnings. Submissions will be blind reviewed for presentation in poster or roundtable format sessions. Members of the 2007 FERC Review Board will evaluate the papers for relevance of research questions, rigor of analysis, and soundness and value of conclusions. Papers submitted to this conference will be reviewed for a Special Issue of the Journal of Management Studies.
Monterrey is the industrial capital of Mexico. It has the highest per capita GDP and is considered the most secure city in Latin America. The campus of the Universidad de Mexico is surrounded by spectacular mountain vistas. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to hear and meet members of some of the premier Mexican family enterprises. Our gala dinner will be held at the Mexican History Museum.

- Max. pages: 25 including references, tables, appendices
- Spacing: Body – double-spaced; Appendices – single-spaced
- Page set-up: 12 point font, 1 inch margins
