Call for 2007 Nominations – Recognizing Excellence

The Sales SIG looks forward to bestowing the following awards at the 2007 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Summer Educators’ Conference: The Doctoral Dissertation Award, The Excellence in Research Award, and The Lifetime Achievement Award. The deadline for all nominations is March 31, 2007.

The Doctoral Dissertation Award competition is open to anyone having completed a doctoral degree within the past 2 years.  The primary focus of the dissertation must involve professional selling and/or sales management.  To enter the competition, please submit four (4) unbound copies of the dissertation along with a letter highlighting the contributions of the research for review by a Blue Ribbon Panel Committee of sales scholars.

The Excellence in Research Award is intended to recognize the author(s) of a professional selling and/or sales management article, published during 2006 that has made a significant contribution to the sales discipline.  Please nominate an article by providing a complete citation and a letter (2 page limit) supporting the article for this award. 

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors an individual who has made meaningful contributions to the academic sales discipline over a long period of time.  Previous winners of this prestigious award are: Marv Jolson, Bill Stanton, Gil Churchill, Neil Ford, Orv Walker, Dave Cravens, Bart Weitz, Tom Wotruba, Charles Futrell, and Tom Leigh.  Please submit a letter of nomination (2 page limit) and a vita of the nominee. 

The deadline is March 31st and entries and nominations should be sent to:
