Position Description

The opening is for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Transportation and Logistics beginning in August 2007.

Required: The successful candidate for this position will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. with a major or minor emphasis in Logistics or a related discipline in hand by 8/1/07. Evidence supporting high quality teaching and the ability to produce quality research must be provided. The selected candidate must have university level teaching experience and be prepared to teach Transportation, including lecture sections of Foundations of Transportation, Quantitative Applications in Logistics Systems, and Logistics courses.

Desired: Business experience and a well-developed international perspective are desirable. Preferred candidates should have a demonstrated interest in developing a nationally ranked program in logistics, and in furthering the development of the field through research and publication. Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB accredited school.

The School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure at Edith Cowan University is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor Marketing (Level D).

The appointee will be an experienced marketing academic who has a demonstrated passion for research, excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching together with strong administrative, leadership and teamwork skills. The School of Marketing, Tourism and Leisure currently has research foci in experiential consumption, social marketing and sustainable tourism, and experience in one of these areas would be an advantage. The ability to collaborate with researchers from other applied areas of the School would also be an asset.

Thus the appointee will have the potential to provide academic, research and professional leadership in the School. They will be able to build and maintain relationships with staff, students, the University and the broader community. Finally the appointee will have a proven track record in securing research funds, conducting successful research and producing publications from these initiatives.

This ongoing position attracts remuneration of Au$110,681 to $121,934 pa including University superannuation contribution, with a salary component of Au$94,599 to $104,217 pa.

Assistant or Associate Professor – Marketing

The Faculty of Business, Brock University invites applications for a probationary tenure track position in Marketing. Starting July 1, 2007, the rank is open at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level, dependent upon qualifications. The availability of this position is subject to final budgetary approval.
