The Department of Commerce at Massey University, Albany, New Zealand, is a multi-disciplined department offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Economics, Finance and Marketing. The Albany Campus is situated on the beautiful North Shore of Auckland; a thriving and dynamic multicultural city with accessible beaches, and a variety of sporting and cultural activities.

The successful candidate for Senior Lecturer in Marketing will possess a relevant PhD and evidence of research outputs, teaching and administration.

You should have an interest in any of these areas of marketing: – Market Research, Research Methods and Consumer Behaviour. Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative skills and:

(1) a demonstrated ability to teach research methods, theories of research and application of research;

(2) They should also have an appreciation of an ability to work in both qualitative and quantitative methods;

(3) The ideal candidate will be one particularly with a focus on technology/consumer interfaces.

The position includes supervising research projects. You are expected to be an active researcher publishing in academic journals.

In addition to teaching duties, you are expected to contribute significantly to the administration of the department, supervise post graduate research and represent the department on College and University programmes.

As part of its staff development activities the Department of Commerce encourages its staff to attend international and regional conferences regularly in order to keep in touch with research and teaching developments in their field.

THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA (UCO) seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Marketing, effective 13 August 2007.

The department is part of the University’s College of Business Administration which currently has 75 full-time and 46 part-time faculty in 7 academic departments. The College enrolls more than 2,500 undergraduate majors in 20 degree programs and nearly 200 graduate students in the MBA program. The College is ACBSP accredited. The Department of Marketing sponsors majors in Marketing and Purchasing and Materials Management. It also supports the MBA program.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in all areas of Marketing. Other responsibilities include scholarly/creative activities; service to the department, college, university, and community; and possibly team-teaching in an innovative evening graduate program.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: Doctorate in Marketing or related discipline and higher-education teaching experience are required. ABD with a clear plan for degree completion will be considered. Experience in industry is preferred.

SALARY: Commensurate with credentials and experience.

The Marketing & Advertising department at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT is looking for a visiting professor for the spring semester (January 22 to May 11, 2007). Teaching load will be four sections with three preps – section sizes are typically 35 students. The courses include distribution channels, integrated marketing communications and marketing principles.  The successful candidate will be considered for a tenure-track appointment starting fall of 2007.
