The Department of Marketing and International Business of Lingnan University, Hong Kong invites applications for tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor positions starting in August 2007.
The appointees will teach courses in Marketing and International Business and conduct research for publication in quality refereed journals. Areas of teaching specialization include Buyer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communications, International Marketing Management, Retailing and Distribution Management, Marketing Research, and Services Marketing.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline. For appointment as an Associate Professor, applicants should have five years of relevant experience and a track record of excellence in teaching and research. Candidates with strong research background/potential are especially encouraged to apply.
We offer very competitive compensation. The monthly salary ranges are from HK$40,600 to HK$64,000 for Assistant Professor, and from HK$55,200 to HK$72,700 for Associate Professor. Salary is on a 12-month basis and gratuity bearing. (Approximate exchange rate is US$1: HK$7.76)
The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, gratuity, medical benefits, mandatory provident fund, housing allowance, and passage and baggage allowance. We also offer generous research support. New Ph.Ds will have reduced teaching load.
Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract of three years and is renewable. For appointees at the rank of Associate Professor, fast-tracked substantiated (tenured) appointment may be considered for those with outstanding performance.
