ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s Services Special Interest Group (SERVSIG) is pleased to announce the winners of its 2006 awards for best article and career contributions to services.

The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s award for the best services article published in 2005 went to Shashi Matta (Ohio State University) and Valerie Folkes (University of Southern California) for their article "Inferences about the Brand from Counterstereotypical Service Providers," appearing in the Journal of Consumer Research, Vol. 32, No. 2.

The “Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award” was presented to Benjamin Schneider (University of Maryland).

These honors were awarded at the recent Frontiers in Service Conference hosted by the University of Queensland.  In addition to award presentations, SERVSIG once again held its annual pre-conference doctoral consortium.  At the consortium, many interesting presentations were made by leaders in the field.  These presentations are now available for download at the SERVSIG website ().
