Position Description

The School of Business Administration at Portland State University seeks candidates for a 1.0 FTE tenure track academic position in Buyer Behavior and/or Retailing/e-tailing beginning Fall 2007, pending funding approval from the University.

Position/Rank: Assistant Professor

Responsibilities: Engage in research, publishable in leading marketing journals on topics relevant to buyer behavior in either consumer or organizational markets.  Preference will be given to candidates with a documented record related to the effect of technology on the buyer behavior, marketing communication, packaged goods marketing, and/or marketing process.

Primary teaching and research in the area of consumer behavior, organizational buyer behavior and/or retailing/e-tailing.

Perform a proportionate share of school, university, professional, and community service. This includes participation in efforts to build active working relationships with the leadership of the region’s business community.

Qualifications: Candidates will have a doctoral degree in business with an emphasis in marketing.  Candidates will also have a developing research portfolio in areas related to the effect of technology on buyer behavior, marketing communication, packaged goods marketing and/or the marketing process.  Candidates with research interests that complement our current faculty are especially attractive.

The School of Business Administration at Portland State University seeks exceptional candidates for a tenure track position in Buyer Behavior and/or Retailing/e-tailing beginning September 16, 2007, pending funding approval from the University. We are seeking candidates pursuing research that adds value to organizations by addressing issues related to the effect of technology on buyer behavior, marketing communication, packaged goods marketing and/or the marketing process. The Department of Management, Marketing and International Business at the University of Texas-Pan American is seeking applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position in marketing at either the assistant or associate level, pending budget or programmatic approval.  The start date is Fall, 2007.

Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service.  Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level courses.

The University of West Florida invites applications for one tenure-track Marketing faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, to start in August 2007. Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. in field from an AACSB accredited school at the time of appointment. ABDs will be considered, but must provide strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed within the first year of appointment. Candidates for this position must demonstrate the potential to pursue a balanced commitment to excellent teaching, productive research, and active service.

Preferred teaching/research interest areas include one or more of the following: International Marketing/Business, and Consumer Behavior. Other areas may be considered for exceptional candidates. A normal teaching load in our department is three courses (two preps) per semester, with opportunities available for summer support for research or teaching. Salary will be AACSB competitive. While the position is housed at the main campus, it may require teaching at other university campuses.

The UWF College of Business is AACSB accredited and growing. It serves over 1,800 students with six undergraduate majors and two masters programs. Tenure Track Position in Marketing – University of Manitoba

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Marketing in the I.H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba ( www.umanitoba.ca/asper ). The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level and is still subject to administrative approval.  The position requires a strong research orientation plus the ability to teach in one or more of the areas of marketing management, marketing strategy, branding, marketing models, consumer behavior, or services marketing.  Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and professional service within the University and community.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Marketing (or related discipline) or be near completion, have some record of publication, be actively engaged in a promising research program, and be motivated and have the ability to contribute to our graduate programs, particularly the Ph.D.

The I.H. Asper School of Business is the principal business school in the province of Manitoba and is accredited by the AACSB. It has 1800 students and is located in the Drake Centre, a modern, state-of-the-art physical facility with excellent computer facilities and equipment.   It has 54 full-time faculty members with 10 in the Department of Marketing and offers undergraduate, M. Sc., MBA, and Ph.D. programs. A normal teaching load for new faculty is 6 hours per week. The School also provides substantial research funding for new faculty members.
