Lehigh University’s Department of Marketing in the College of Business & Economics seeks to fill one tenure track position in marketing at the assistant or associate professor level, beginning in fall 2007.  Candidates must have a research-focused doctorate in marketing.

Prospective candidates with strong behavioral, analytical, statistical, or other rigorous research training and with interests in substantive issues such as integrated product/service design and development, consumer judgment and choice, market-based assets, innovation generation and diffusion, marketing strategies for new products and services, R&D-marketing interface, role of technology in the marketing of products and services, Internet marketing, and other related topics in marketing are strongly urged to apply.

The primary research focus of the Marketing faculty at Lehigh University is in the domain of "Marketing Innovation" and related areas.  Marketing Innovation is defined broadly to include all activities involved with strategic planning, concept generation, concept testing, development, and launch of new products and services from consumers’ and marketing managers’ perspectives.  The Marketing Department intends to develop interdisciplinary research linkages with other departments and research centers within the College and across the University (e.g., engineering and psychology).

Candidates must demonstrate an ability to conduct scholarly research resulting in publications in leading journals, have promise for scholarly distinction, and show evidence of ability to teach effectively.  Applicants for the Associate Professor position must have a proven track record in both research and teaching.  Team teaching, participation in distance education programs, and development of web-based instruction are expected of all faculty members.

The School of Business at Meredith College invites applications and nominations for two faculty positions in Marketing.  Both positions are full-time, eligible for tenure, starting in August of 2007 (or before).  Faculty in the Business School are active and engaged in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service.  Successful applicants should be able to teach at both the undergraduate and MBA level.  Teaching interests in International Marketing, Marketing Management, or interdisciplinary courses will strengthen a candidate’s application.

The Department of Marketing of the Rotterdam School of Economics and Business Economics currently has openings for an assistant professor and/or postdoc position, starting between January 2007 and September 2007. Both positions require strong quantitative research skills and the ability to publish in top academic journals.  Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree (or at least finished the manuscript) at the time of appointment.

The Department has recently expanded and members of the department now include Stefan Stremersch, Philip Hans Franses, Benedict Dellaert, Bas Donkers, Aurelie Lemmens, Walter van Dyck, Willem Verbeke and Sonja Wendel, amongst others. The department’s research is published in journals like the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, and Marketing Science, and covers areas such as high technology marketing, diffusion models, consumer decision-making and life sciences marketing.

Applications for a permanent position at the Senior Lecturer or Lecturer (Assistant Prof) level, are invited in all areas of Marketing although preference will be given to those with a background in Marketing Research and/or Marketing Strategy.

Applicants would normally have a doctoral qualification or be close to completing a PhD. Teaching experience, a record of research and practical experience would be an advantage. The Department teaches a broad range of undergraduate, graduate and executive courses.
