We are pleased to announce that the 2006 Australia and New Zealand International Business Academy (ANZIBA) conference will take place 17th-18th November 2006, in Wellington, New Zealand (hosted by the School of Marketing and International Business, Victoria University of Wellington). The keynote speakers for ANZIBA 2006 will be Peter J. Buckley (University of Leeds) and Hideki Yoshihara (Nanzan University and Kobe University).

Submissions that fall under any of the following track headings are welcome:        

  1. The Context of Global Business
    (Chair: Catherine Welch, University of New South Wales)
  2. Managing People across Cultures
    (Chair: Andre Pekerti, University of Queensland)
  3. International Strategic Management: Managing and Competing across Borders
    (Chair: Maureen Benson-Rea, University of Auckland)
  4. Strategies for Entry, Expansion and Operations Abroad
    (Chair: Joanna Scott-Kennel, Victoria University of Wellington)
  5. International Marketing
    (Chair: Michele Akoorie, University of Waikato)
  6. Harnessing the Power of Learning, Knowledge and Innovation
    (Chair: Felicitas Evangelista, University of Western Sydney)
  7. International Entrepreneurship in Action
    (Chair: Peter Zettinig, Victoria University of Wellington)
  8. Internationalisation of Asian and Emerging Market Firms
    (Chair: Rumintha Wickramasekera, Queensland University of Technology)

We also welcome submissions to the Research Students’ Colloquium, which will take place on 16th November.

DEADLINES:

  • Submission of papers or panel proposals: 17th July
  • Research Students’ Colloquium applications: 1st September
  • Acceptance notification: 25th September
