The Department of Strategic Management, Marketing and Tourism at the Innsbruck University School of Management [Fakultät für Betriebswirtschaft der Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck] invites applications for the

Chair of Business Administration with special regard to Tourism and Service Management

The position will be based on a civil-law employment contract with the University. The contract is limited to 6 years; given a positive evaluation in accordance with § 14 Section 7 UG 2002 [University Law], the employment contract will become unlimited.

TASKS

The person filling the position shall represent the subject of "Business Administration" in research and teaching with particular emphasis on "Tourism and Service Management".

Applicants are expected to represent the subject from an inter-disciplinary orientation in the social and economic sciences.

In the field of teaching, the professor is expected to contribute to the related Bachelor, Magister [Master’s] and PhD programmes organised by the Innsbruck University School of Management

Participation in internal academic administration

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. Completion of Austrian or equivalent, international academic studies in the subject matter field;
  2. appropriate "Habilitation" [postdoctoral lecture qualification] or comparable qualification
  3. publications in leading international, referenced journals;
  4. documented competence in empirical research and consulting work (enterprises, associations and public institutions) in the area of tourism and service management;
  5. documented participation in international research projects;
  6. inter-disciplinary work in the social and economic sciences as well as in public  administration;
  7. ideally, several years of pertinent extra-university working experience;
  8. appropriate international experience;
  9. pronounced didactic skills;
  10. experience in the acquisition of research funds;
  11. leadership qualifications.

Faculty position (Lecturer)-University of Central Florida-F07

The University of Central Florida  Department of Marketing anticipates (contingent on funding) one position at the rank of Lecturer.   The start date for this non tenure-track position is August 2007.   Position requires a doctorate in marketing (or related field) from an accredited institution; contract will be on a 5-year renewable basis.  Applicants must be evaluated as academically current per UCF interpretation of AACSB standards.   Teaching workload will be either 6 or 7 courses per academic year.  Preferred areas of teaching interest are selling and sales management, marketing management, and/or marketing strategy.
