Visiting Professor Position in Marketing
Virginia State University was founded in 1882 as the first state-supported, four-year institution of higher learning for African Americans in the United States. Today, Virginia State University is one of Virginia’s two land-grant institutions. The campus sits atop a rolling landscape overlooking the Appomattox River in Chesterfield County. The University is centrally located about two hours away from Washington, DC to the north, the North Carolina Research Triangle area to the south, the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east.
The School of Business invites applications for one-year visiting professor positions in Management, Marketing, Computer Information Systems, and Accounting. Teaching responsibilities are primarily in the undergraduate program. Candidates should have an earned doctorate or be an ABD in the final stage of dissertation. Candidates at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor level are encouraged to apply. The positions are not tenure-track positions.
The positions will be for the Fall semester of 2006 and the Spring semester of 2007. Successful candidates must be academically qualified to teach a variety of undergraduate classes. The teaching load is three to four classes per semester.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with credentials and experience. Benefits are not offered for these positions. Screening will begin June 16, 2006, and will continue until the positions are filled. The starting date for the visiting positions is August 11, 2006.

The Department of Marketing at Rutgers Business School, housed on both the Newark and New Brunswick campuses, expects to have an opening for a tenure-track faculty position for Fall 2007 at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The position requires an ABD/Ph.D. in marketing or a related discipline, a publication record that indicates research potential, and a commitment to quality teaching. We seek faculty whose expertise is one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain Management, International Marketing, Advertising and Sales Management, preferably with an emphasis on high-tech or healthcare products. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in the above-mentioned fields. Salaries are competitive, and we encourage applications from minority candidates. The University of Iowa invites the submission of resumes from qualified candidates for one or more anticipated positions at the rank of lecturer, regular or visiting; assistant, associate or full professor, either tenure-track or visiting. We are particularly seeking individuals with research interests in marketing models, consumer behavior or marketing strategy, but will consider all areas in marketing. All candidates must also be able to demonstrate job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
Assistant-level candidates should have a completed or nearly completed dissertation and clearly exhibit high potential for scholarly research and effective teaching. Candidates with an established record of excellence in published scholarly research and quality teaching will be considered for positions at the rank of associate or full professor.
Candidates for lecturer should have a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate or graduate levels.

Assistant Professor, Tenure Track Position(s) in Marketing

The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at Washington State University is seeking qualified candidates for one or two permanent full-time tenure-track positions (nine-month) at the main campus in Pullman. The position(s) is (are) at the rank of assistant professor, to begin August 16, 2007, and subject to budgetary approval.
A Ph.D. (or within one year of completion) in marketing or closely related field from a nationally or internationally recognized university is required. Qualified candidates must have a demonstrated record of research published in and/or research targeted towards the field’s premier journals. Preference will be given to those candidates with research focused on the traditional marketing areas of strategy, behavior, and/or models. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and teaching effectiveness is also required. Preference will be given to candidates interested in and capable of teaching principles of marketing. In addition, preferred candidates will have the interest and ability to be actively involved with doctoral education. The successful candidate will also be expected to make service contributions to the unit, commensurate with rank. Salary and benefits are competitive.
The Department of Marketing consists of 11 faculty (across 3 campuses) who value quality research and excellent teaching. Normal teaching load is six hours (2 courses per semester).
