The Marketing Department, College of Business at James Madison University, is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position for a Fall 2007 appointment. Candidates for this position should demonstrate interest and expertise in teaching classes within the business-to-business marketing concentration, with special consideration being given to candidates interested in new product development and B2B marketing. A candidate must have a doctorate degree in business from an AACSB-accredited university (ABDs considered). A candidate should be committed to scholarly research and demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness. Industry experience is a plus. We will conduct interviews with potential candidates at the August 2006 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Educator’s Conference in Chicago.
JMU is a public university with a balanced emphasis on teaching and research. The College of Business was recently rated as one of the top 50 undergraduate business departments in the country. The Marketing Department offers a BBA in marketing with concentrations in business-to-business marketing and business-to-consumer marketing. JMU also offers an MBA with specialized degree programs. The Marketing Department is staffed by 19 full-time and part-time faculty teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; productivity in research and scholarly activities; participation in curriculum and program development; appropriate service on department, college, campus and university committees; and outreach and engagement in the broader community. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
