The 11th Annual Marketing Management Association Fall Educators’ Conference will be held Wednesday through Friday, September 20th – 22nd, 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee. This conference provides a high quality forum for community college, college, and university faculty who teach accounting, business education, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, law, management, management information systems, marketing, policy, real estate, small business, and other business disciplines to exchange teaching tips and techniques and to enhance their teaching skills.
As a professional development conference, the focus is on enhancing the teaching and learning process and scholarship for post-secondary educators. For the BEST conference to exchange teaching ideas and to enhance one’s teaching skills, attend the 11th Annual Fall Educators’ Conference, September 20th – 22nd, 2006 in Nashville.
This year we will again be offering the Early Career Professor’s Consortium, with this year’s theme: Developing an Agenda for Tenure and Promotion. Michelle Kunz has again assembled a great lineup of speakers and panel topics, including: Understanding Student Expectations, Students’ Evaluations of Instructors, Engaging Students, and Getting Published, to name but a few. Those interested may receive a certificate for attending.
All events for the conference will be held at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown, just minutes away from some of Nashville’s most popular attractions: The World-Famous Grand Old Opry, The Wild Horse Saloon, and other Music City USA venues, a cruise on the Cumberland River, The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson, and The Saturn Plant. The cost for a single room is $100 per night/$110 double plus tax. Reservations should be made by August 21st, 2006 to ensure availability at this rate. Position papers (1/2 page maximum abstract OR 2 pages maximum for a paper) for publication in the Conference Proceedings, and panel proposals (small group presentations and discussions) are due by July 15, 2006. As always, the Fall Educators’ Conference offers the best value anywhere. Registration fees will be $155 for registrations received by July 15, 2006, and $165 for registrations received after July 15th. A discount of $10 off these rates is given to current members of the MMA (memberships obtained in 2006, prior to this conference).
