The Marketing Department at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal invites applications for tenure track positions at the Assistant Professor level starting June 1, 2007. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in hand or near completion. They should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and a research record that demonstrates strong research potential and ability to publish in top quality journals.  Qualified candidates in all areas are encouraged to apply. The usual teaching load for the first 3 years is 4 courses per year, and this load can be maintained in subsequent years if research performance is deemed satisfactory. Teaching opportunities abound at the undergraduate level but are also available to qualified and interested individuals in the MBA, MSc. and Ph.D. programs as well as in executive programs.  All programs are accredited by the AACSB.

The John Molson School of Business at Concordia University is located in downtown Montreal, with convenient access to public transit and downtown attractions. Concordia University is an English-speaking university and has close to 40,000 students. The John Molson School of Business has over 4500 students. The Marketing Department has over 17 full time faculty members with PhD degrees from both Canada and the U.S.  Only a few of the current full-timers were born in Canada.  The others come from various countries such as Germany, Morocco, India, Turkey, Trinidad, Korea, France and China among others.

Many of the current members of the department have published in “A” journals. Their research interests can be perused at .  Research is highly valued and supported through generous start-up grants, and excellent computer and library facilities.  There are numerous opportunities to apply for other internal and external grants. The number of course preparations assigned to junior faculty is kept to a minimum, as is the committee work they are allocated.

Montreal, a city of over 2 million, is one of the most vibrant cities in North America. It also allows safe and affordable downtown living. Situated within driving distance of several Canadian cities (Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City) and American ones (e.g., Boston and New York), it is well served by major airlines. Recreational opportunities abound year around since the city is located on the St. Lawrence River and is close to many ski resorts. Mont Tremblant, a major North American resort, is an hour and a half away. The city boasts a large number of high quality restaurants, and summer activities include the world-class Jazz, Comedy and Film festivals as well as the Montreal F1 Grand Prix.

The Dr. Robert B. Pamplin, Jr., School of Business Administration at the University of Portland seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant professor of marketing for fall 2007.  The University of Portland is a Catholic university with AACSB-accredited undergraduate and MBA programs.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or ABD status in marketing or an allied field.  Successful candidates will define their career path as that of teacher/scholar, with a strong interest in serving students, the larger community, and the academic profession. The Marketing and International Business group at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business invites applications for a position in marketing starting in the fall of 2007.
 
We are looking to add one faculty member of open rank (junior or more advanced) and research area (CB, modeling, or managerial).  Candidates should have a keen interest in both research and teaching.  Our current teaching needs are in several areas including the MBA core marketing course, consumer behavior, and marketing research. We are also eager to expand our offerings in other areas.
