Suitable candidates will hold a PhD in marketing or related area and be able to make strong contributions to the marketing group’s research and teaching activities. Candidates are expected to have a record of research activity directed at publication in leading academic journals, and a strong interest and ability to teach marketing strategy/management plus an elective in a specialty area at the MBA and executive levels. Applicants with experience in teaching channels management, salesforce management or services marketing are especially encouraged to apply. Salary and benefits are comparable to those of leading US universities, with precise terms determined according to qualifications and experience.

Professorship in Marketing: Short-term or long-term appointment in Marketing Psychology, Consumer Behavior, or Marketing Communications
Aston Business School (ABS), UK, is one of Europe’s leading Business Schools. The successful candidate(s) will be expected to contribute to, develop, and enhance the research and teaching activities of the Group in the areas of: marketing psychology, consumer behaviour, and/or marketing communications. S/He also will play a leading role in the School’s development through providing leadership and personal excellence in research, teaching, and administration.

We are seeking to make appointments at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on the candidate’s academic achievements, in the areas of consumer behaviour, marketing psychology, or marketing communications. Along with long-term appointments we will consider sabbatical or visiting appointments of one to two years.
Candidates will be expected to make an important contribution to core teaching and research, including research supervision, in the latter areas within the Marketing Group. Ideally, candidates’ research interests will reflect the international focus of the School. Applicants should posses a PhD (or about to complete a PhD) in a relevant subject area. They also should have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and research, and a demonstrated ability, or clear potential, to publish in international, refereed journals. For the associate professor appointment, candidates must demonstrate an established publications record and an on-going research programme, as well as research and teaching leadership.
Salaries are very competitive for the UK market and dependent on qualifications. We also provide research support and significant performance related pay.
