    Format: Online

    Marketing Week Happens During Fall Semester: Mid-Sept – End of October
    Competition Sign-Up Open: Sept 15, 2025 and Submission Deadline: Nov 12, 2025 at 11:59pm CST (Other Time Zones: 12:59am EST / 10:59pm MST / 9:59pm PST)

Competition Objectives

  • Celebrate Marketing Week and foster opportunities to explore the value of being an ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø member and collaborating as a marketing community.
    • Celebrate Marketing Week anytime during the Fall Semester: Mid-Sept – End of October.
    • To be considered among the top chapters, participating in Marketing Week is essential. Celebrating Marketing Week will earn your chapter points toward the Top Chapter Awards.
  • Showcase ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s value to members and customers, whether they perform, teach or study marketing.


It is important to use the Social hashtag – #WhyÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø in your communication and reporting


Entry Requirements

To enter the Marketing Week Competition, your chapter will need to submit a Summary Report that includes:

  • A description of how your chapter’s marketing week highlighted the following goals.
    • How did your week foster a sense of support and community among marketing students?
      • Reflect on the ways your actions, events, or communications helped create an inclusive, encouraging environment where marketing students felt connected and valued.
  • How did your week’s theme and activities connect with and celebrate marketing as a major on campus?
    • Explain how your work showcase your week’s theme and demonstrated the transformative impact of marketing.
    • Reflect on how your efforts celebrated the field and its value to other majors and to the campus community.
  • A detailed list of social media activities related to your Marketing Week and member recruitment promotions.
    • Be sure to include the specific platforms used, and a brief description of each post or campaign.
  • A list of the activities planned, including any goals specific to individual activities, target audience, location of event, etc.
    • Small chapters can celebrate marketing week for 2-3 days and larger chapters can celebrate for 3-5 days to qualify for the competition.
      • To qualify for the competition, chapters must meet the minimum activity days according to their size. A higher number and variety of events can strengthen your submission.
    • Identify your chapter size: Small Chapter (25 or less) / Large Chapters (25+ more) paid ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø national undergraduate members.
  • Details of how the activities were executed.
    • Describe how each activity was implemented, including:
      • Participation and engagement levels
      • Collaborations or sponsors
      • On-the-ground logistics or adaptations
  • An evaluation of the results of the activities related to the stated goals.
    • Evaluate each activity based on its stated goals. Include:
      • Results and key takeaways
      • Metrics such as attendance, feedback, and social engagement
      • Successes, challenges, and lessons learned for future planning
  • Remember: Be creative! Consider using different formats, storytelling, infographics or magazine articles to design your report.

Summary Report Guidelines:

  • Maximum of two pages (letter size – 8.5 x 11)
  • 12-point font
  • Save entries as a PDF following this naming format: “University Name_Marketing Weekâ€
  • The document, including visuals, must adhere to the two-page limit


How is the Competition Judged?

The competition is judged by ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Collegiate students and overseen by the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Collegiate Chapters Council.

Criteria GOALS (10 pts)

  • Clarity – Goals are clearly defined and easy to understand.
  • Quantifiable – Goals are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART).

Criteria ACTIVITIES (45pts)

  • Variety- A diverse range of activities are offered to appeal to different interests.
  • Creativity – Activities demonstrate originality and innovative thinking.
  • Alignment – Activities directly support the stated goals of Marketing Week.
  • Quality – Activities are well-planned, organized, and executed with professionalism.
  • Impact – Activities contribute to a positive cause or benefit the community.
  • Target Audience – Activities are tailored to the needs and interests of the target audience.
  • ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø hashtag – Usage of #WhyÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø in social media.

Criteria EXECUTION (25pts)

  • Implementation – Activities were carried out as planned with minimal disruptions.
  • Quality – Activities met or exceeded expectations in terms of content and delivery.
  • Coordination – Activities were well-coordinated and ran smoothly.
  • Social media – Social media efforts effectively supported the activities and reached the target audience.
  • Attendance – Activities attracted a significant number of attendees from the target market.

Criteria RESULTS (20pts)

  • Objective Attainment – Activities successfully met the objectives outlined in the Marketing Week plan.
  • Membership Growth – The chapter gained new members because of Marketing Week activities.

Competition Prize

Winners will be announced and recognized at the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø International Collegiate Conference.

1st Place Large Chapter – $250 and Certificate

1st Place Small Chapter – $250 and Certificate

2nd – 3rd Place (Large & Small) Chapters – ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Certificates
